It is so exciting to see spring right around the corner. I need more sunshine and longer days. Hello!  Sorry for the delay in writing.  I just got back from a week in South Carolina.  I ate my face off and now must fast for the next week just to avoid the extra ten pounds those fried green tomatoes are sure to produce.

I am back in town for a few weeks and it is so good to be home. My bed. My baby. My puppies…who aren’t so puppy-ish J the statement that “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” is so true. It’s good to get away and spend quality time with yourself when you can. It makes the homecoming all the sweeter. My schedule in the upcoming weeks is rather hectic so I am enjoying this peaceful fall day.

I cannot believe summer is almost over.  I have had such a blast traveling around the country meeting so many new faces and seeing fantastic new places.  Thank you all for having me!I am heading to Kansas City next for the NALGAP/NAADAC Conference to give a keynote and speak on a panel over labor day weekend.  I am still getting many events lined up for fall and will post them as soon as they are confirmed!  Have a wonderful rest of the summer!

I am heading back to my hometown again this weekend. Drop by Cedar Beach and see me if you’re around!

Valley native ‘Blackout Girl‘ writes her story

We checked into our hotel on Saturday or Memorial Day weekend and the place was crawling with young Hollywood types everywhere. We were given neon wrist bands at the front desk for the pool party that would be taking place all night both that day and the next. I knew I was in for some trouble already. I had no idea our hotel was such a haven for partying. I would never have booked it. My partner and I went to bed at our usual time of 8:30 pm, I know, I know, but hey in recovery I am a morning girl now. Long gone are the days of the all-nighter for me, I am a 5:30 am wake-up girl now!
