Everyone has a story, not everyone knows how to tell it. This interactive workshop will illustrate how one can effectively share their personal story of victimization, trauma and/or addiction with a larger audience or how as advocates, counselors, therapists etc. can assist clients in doing so. Whether victim impact panels, book publication, media interviews etc. this workshop will help participants determine if they are ready and how to share their story in a productive manner

The First 48 Hours after a Homicide
An interactive in-depth workshop on the specific and unique tools needed for advocates when responding to families and survivors of homicides. Topics such as death notification, body identification, needed collaborations with; law enforcement, hospital personnel, corners office, local funeral directors, grief counselors and pastoral care. A step-by-step guide will be presented on the dos and don’ts of response along with many real life case examples. Participants will be given the case scenarios to solidify the knowledge learned.
