The thought of spending seven days in California was an absolute delight. My baby (Roma, for future reference) and I were so excited as we share a common love of all things celebrity. Part of it is normal fascination of the lifestyles of the rich and famous and the other part is more of our yet to be lived dreams, hers of being a rock start and mine, well writer/actor would do just fine. Our Saturday mornings begin with a mutual pouring over the pages of People Magazine, her sipping tea and me slamming down my strong as hell Starbucks coffee. We scan each page checking out new places to log in our travel celebrity stalker files for any upcoming trips. I was out in Los Angeles for a week for the book and it was fantastic! I took a break from writing and had no internet…I know, can you imagine…I even took a couple blackberry breaks. And while I vibrated in withdrawal a little and felt an odd sensation in my right hand like something was missing the whole time; I did survive. I am so addicted to my “crackberry” that a little necessary detox was long overdue…

The Pennsylvania School Librarians Association has just voted my book among the Pennsylvania Young Adult Top Forty books of 2008!! Woo hoo!!!

On my recent visit to Philadelphia, I ventured into the Philadelphia Free Library and it is incredible! I also had my super secret hot librarian friend look my book up and I was checked out at almost all the locations!!

I do so loved to get checked out so please head into your nearest library and CHECK ME OUT!!!

OMG! So I have been emailing/stalking Rosie O’Donnell now for like a month or so. I don’t really think it can be considered stalking since it’s an option on her webpage, but nonetheless!

She has a great webpage, www.rosie.com where she posts video, blogs and has a great interactive question and answer portion. She actually answers fans questions—which just this fact alone–makes her rock in my opinion!!!

I have returned from my travels in Philadelphia. It was a great trip and I must say that I think I single handedly revitalized the city’s economy. Seriously, the mayor should give me like a certificate or something. I went a little crazy but it was way fun! I miss the big city environment if not simply for the wonderful vegetarian and vegan options at so many restaurants. I can actually walk into most trendy little places and find multiple options for my little veggie palate! Not so much in central PA….the options are pasta or salad. Seriously, can I get some tofu please!! I had….drum roll please….Tofu BBQ Wings that were to die for at this little place called The Belgium Café on 21st and Green Street, if you are ever in Philly, I highly recommend this place it was awesome!
