I am back in town for a few weeks and it is so good to be home. My bed. My baby. My puppies…who aren't so puppy-ish :) the statement that "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" is so true. It's good to get away and spend quality time with yourself when you can. It makes the homecoming all the sweeter…
Just a little girl twelve years old;
All new curves and confusion to boot;
Didn’t know any better, was never told any different;
I took a sip and you took my life…
I cannot believe summer is almost over. I have had such a blast traveling around the country meeting so many new faces and seeing fantastic new places. Thank you all for having me!I am heading to Kansas City next for the NALGAP/NAADAC Conference to give a keynote and speak on a panel over labor day weekend…
Change is the most inevitable force of nature...it comes in and sweeps us off our feet when we least expect it too. Whether the change is for the positive or a potential negative in our lives it throws us off balance. Why does it seem that just when I think my path is figured out...it all goes up in a smoke filled twist of fate?
How often does one have the opportunity to come face-to-face with those we have emotionally harmed in our lifetimes or just those people that we need to say I am sorry too? In my opinion, probably not often enough. This weekend was amazing for me personally. I had a book signing at the Lehigh Valley Mall in my hometown-basically the setting of the entire book…
In my humble opinion Tim Russert was one of the best journalists this country has ever seen. His integrity, honesty, balance, justice and passion for America and our political system is unmatched. In every interview he ever did you never knew which side he was on, which is a true reflection of the journalism this country should have and needs…
I was out in Los Angeles for a week for the book and it was fantastic! I took a break from writing and had no internet…I know, can you imagine…I even took a couple blackberry breaks. And while I vibrated in withdrawal a little and felt an odd sensation in my right hand like something was missing the whole time…
This Thursday night at 8:15PM I will be on Sirius Out Q with The Derek and Romaine Show promoting my book. Now if you know me than you know that I briefly dated Romaine back in the day before she was all famous and shit. So tune in as this could be a very interesting interview that has zero to do with the book!
Well you should!
The Pennsylvania School Librarians Association has just voted my book among the Pennsylvania Young Adult Top Forty books of 2008!! Woo hoo!!!
On my recent visit to Philadelphia, I ventured into the Philadelphia Free Library and it is incredible! I also had my super secret hot librarian friend look my book up and I was checked out at almost all the locations!!
OMG! So I have been emailing/stalking Rosie O'Donnell now for like a month or so.I don't really think it can be considered stalking since it's an option on her webpage, but nonetheless!
She has a great webpage, www.rosie.com where she posts video, blogs and has a great interactive question and answer portion. She actually answers fans questions—which just this fact alone--makes her rock in my opinion!!!
I have returned from my travels in Philadelphia. It was a great trip and I must say that I think I single handedly revitalized the city's economy. Seriously, the mayor should give me like a certificate or something. I went a little crazy but it was way fun! I miss the big city environment if not simply for the wonderful vegetarian and vegan options at so many restaurants…
Holla! I hope your weekend served you well. I had a great one with one minor exception. I was at my usual Saturday morning body combat class, throwing punches and kicking the air like Jackie Chan on crack. This is how I roll…
